This is the year for finishing projects. I unpacked a drawer the other day and found 8 projects, ranging from quilt tops that need to be sandwiched and quilted to bee blocks that need to be assembled into a quilt. Over the next few weeks, I'm hoping to knock a few projects out.
This one, however, was a project I started in May. I'd designed the quilt in TouchDraw, did a test block, which was admittedly pieced incorrectly, and cut and pieced all the squares. Here is the finished quilt top.
I love how the circles intersect each other like a kaleidoscope quilt. You can either see circles or, if you pull back a bit, flower-petal-like curves. Because the picture is taken from so far away, it looks great, but up close, my seams don't match up as well as my prefectionist self would like.
Now, to figure out a back and binding.
